The Alternative Educational Academy is a Michigan charter school serving students from grades 6-12 and through 22 years of age. AEA students attend school online as they complete coursework to satisfy the state-adopted, Michigan Merit Curriculum and are supported in-person at one of our two learning labs in West Branch and Gladwin. We currently offer courses provided through Edmentum Courseware. In addition to the online learning platform, AEA offers students entering 11th-12th grade the opportunity to enroll in the technical programs offered by the C.O.O.R. Intermediate School District in Roscommon, MI. Tech courses offer students training and certification focusing on specific career paths.
